Quick Facts:
  • We currently have over 400 registered members
  • Our Club averages 100 kids a day
  • Our snack shop is available daily and provides both food and education for our members
  • Power Hour, our "study hall" is from 3:30-4:00 pm (Monday through Thursday) and provides free tutoring.
  • Hawaiiana classes are available to our members so that they may learn of the history and culture of Lahaina Town, a registered national landmark and the old capitol of the Kingdom of Hawai'i.
  • Club offers a Teens only room and activities, tournaments and field trips exclusively for our teen members.

We offer programs and activities in the following areas:
 
Character & Leadership
 
     The programs in these areas empower youth to support and influence their club and community, sustain meaningful relationships with others, develop a positive self image, participate in the democratic process and respect their own and others' cultural identities.
  • Torch Club- community service based activities and projects such as Adopt-A-Grandparent
  • Communtiy Work Day and Recycling
  • BGCA National Youth of the Year program
  • Club Youth of the Month
  • Public Speaking at the Mayor's Meeting and County Council Hearings
Health & Life Skills
 
     Programs in Health and Life Skills develop young people's capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults.
  • Girls Club, SMART Girls
  • Boys Club, Passport 2 Manhood
  • SMART Moves: An alcohol, tobacco and drug resistance training program
  • Culinary Classes
ArtsDance Class @ the Club
 
     Our Arts program enables youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciate of the visual arts, crafts, preforming arts and creative writing.

Sports, Fitness and Recreation
 
     This program develops fitness, positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment and social skills.
West Maui & Upcountry Flag Football Teams
  • Indoor tournaments in pool, ping pong, fooseball, bumper pool and dance
  • Teen dances
  • Excursions to the movies, pools, the Maui Arts & Cultural Center events and many more
  • BGCM Inter-club Sports League: Flag-football, basketball and softball
  • Daily outdoor rec.
 
Career & Education
 
     Here is where we try to enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, apply learning to everyday situations and embrace technology to achieve success in a career.
